SLAM looks forward to closer cooperation and strengthening ties with the Asian Football Confederation. (AFC) following a fruitful meeting with its officials.
This includes two-way collaboration with AFC through participation in conferences, events and activities of mutual benefit. SLAM's flagship Annual Sports Law Conference event is an opportunity to discuss current challenges and share best practices in sports law, mediation and ADR.
SLAM EXCO Members, led by President Balbeer Singh Jessy, also briefed the AFC team on its work in promoting not only ADR, but also good governance, sports integrity and sustainability, among others.
SLAM is ready and eager to work closely with AFC to elevate the highest standards of sports law, governance and integrity in Malaysia and the region.
The association was represented by its President Balbeer, Deputy President P. Rajasundram and Exco Members Sri Sarguna Raj, Samrith Kaur and Nicholas Chan.
The AFC Team comprised Mr Andrew Colin Mercer–General Counsel & Director of Legal Affairs, Arturo Galvan–Head of Sports Legal Unit and Gerard Tang–Senior Legal Counsel.
