SLAM Patron His Royal Highness Tunku Tan Sri Imran ibni Almarhum Tuanku Ja’afar Al-Haj, who is Honorary Member of the International Olympic Committee, and Hannah Yeoh, Minister of Youth and Sports Malaysia were distinguished guests of honour at the ASEAN Sports ADR Forum 2025 at the Asian International Arbitration centre (AIAC) in Kuala Lumpur
AIAC CEO Datuk Almalena Sharmila Johan delivered the welcoming address and called for mutual collaboration in enhancing the future of sports dispute resolution across Malaysia, ASEAN and beyond.
Dr. Punitha Silivarajoo, Deputy Director-General (Policy & Development), Legal Affairs Division of the Prime Minister’s Department, attended on behalf of Dato’ Sri Azalina Othman Said, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Law and Institutional Reform.
She emphasised Malaysia’s strategic potential as a regional and global hub for sports dispute resolution with a well-established legal infrastructure that promotes efficiency, accessibility and transparency.
