The Asian Institute of Alternative Dispute Resolution (AIADR), in collaboration with the SLAM, jointly presented a webinar examining how disputes in international sport are resolved beyond the field of play.
This session also examined how mediation and arbitration, including proceedings before the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), are used in practice to resolve such matters fairly and efficiently.
The distinguished group of practitioners brought diverse perspectives from international arbitration, sports law and institutional leadership.
It also explored practical realities, emerging challenges, and the evolving role of mediation and arbitration in safeguarding fairness, governance, and integrity in international sport.
The panel was moderated by Datuk Professor Sundra Rajoo, Independent International Arbitrator and member of the CAS panel, and featured Samrith Kaur, former SLAM President; Alexandre Maciel, lawyer and international arbitrator; and Victor Wong Rong Zhe, member of SLAM.
