SLAM witnessed the launch of the Safe Sport Code (SSC) by KBS Malaysia. Numerous stakeholders from the sports fraternity were also present to pledge their support towards the Code.
YB Hannah Yeoh stated that the amendments for the Second and Third Schedule of the Sports Development Act 1997, which came into force on 10 March 2023, also provides a safe sport policy in the sports ecosystem.
The SSC is applicable to anyone involved in any sport activity including sporting event organisers, aimed at providing a safe environment for all stakeholders in the sports industry.
